Tell us about a time when you had to collaborate with teachers to support a student's health needs.

One time, there was a student with diabetes who required support with managing their health needs during school hours. I collaborated with the student's teachers to ensure they were aware of the student's condition and how to respond in case of an emergency. We developed a care plan that outlined the student's specific needs, such as monitoring blood sugar levels and administering insulin. I provided training to the teachers on how to administer insulin and recognize signs of low or high blood sugar. We also established a system for communication between the teachers and myself, so they could update me on any changes in the student's condition. By working together, we were able to provide the necessary support for the student and ensure their safety and well-being at school.
