Tell us about a time when you had to think creatively and outside the box to solve a costume design problem.

One time, I was working on a theater production where the director wanted a character to have a costume that looked like it was made entirely out of newspaper. However, finding enough real newspapers to create the costume would have been time-consuming and expensive. To solve this problem, I had the idea of printing newspaper patterns onto fabric. I researched different printing techniques and found a local printing shop that could help with the process. I collaborated with them to create a unique newspaper print fabric that looked realistic. This allowed us to create the costume in a cost-effective and efficient way without sacrificing the design vision.
