During my time as a Junior Agricultural Laboratory Technician, I encountered a challenge while conducting a soil analysis experiment. The soil samples had a high clay content, which made it difficult to obtain accurate measurements. To overcome this obstacle, I consulted with my supervisor and researched alternative methods to handle clay-rich soil. We decided to use a different extraction technique that involved adding a dispersing agent to separate the clay particles. This allowed us to obtain more accurate measurements and achieve reliable results. I also adjusted the testing procedures to account for the unique properties of clay-rich soil.
