Tell us about a design project where you had to balance user needs and business goals. How did you achieve a successful balance?

In my previous position as a UI/UX Designer, I had the opportunity to work on a design project where I had to balance user needs and business goals. The project was centered around improving the checkout process on an e-commerce website. To achieve a successful balance, I started by conducting user research to understand the pain points and frustrations that users were experiencing during the checkout process. I also collaborated closely with the product team to align the design goals with the business objectives. Throughout the project, I continuously iterated on the design based on user feedback and conducted usability testing to ensure that the changes made were addressing user needs while still fulfilling the business goals. By effectively balancing user needs and business goals, we were able to create a streamlined and user-friendly checkout process that increased conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
