Tell us about a time when you had to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

In my previous role as a teaching assistant at a language institute, I had the opportunity to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds. One specific experience that stands out is when I was assigned to a class where the majority of the students were recent immigrants from different countries. To create an inclusive and supportive learning environment, I organized group activities that encouraged collaboration and cultural exchange. For example, I had students work on a project where they had to research and present about their home countries. This not only allowed them to practice their English skills but also gave them a chance to share their cultural identities with their classmates. I also made sure to incorporate diverse perspectives into the lesson materials and discussions to ensure that every student felt represented and valued.
