In my previous role as a Supply Chain Analyst, I encountered a problem with the procurement process that was causing delays and inefficiencies. To solve this, I analyzed the data of the entire supply chain process using Excel and supply chain management software. I identified a bottleneck in the ordering process, where suppliers were taking longer than usual to respond to purchase orders. To address this, I implemented a new communication system where we automated the purchase order confirmation process, reducing the response time significantly. This improvement led to fewer delays in receiving materials and increased overall efficiency in the supply chain process.
