In my previous role as a UI Designer, I frequently received feedback on my design work. One instance that stands out is when I was working on a mobile application interface. After presenting my initial design to the team, I received feedback that the color scheme I had chosen didn't align with the brand identity and was not accessible for users with color vision deficiencies. Instead of getting defensive or dismissing the feedback, I embraced it as an opportunity to improve. I immediately started researching color combinations that would be more inclusive and aligned with the brand guidelines. I made the necessary adjustments to the color palette and shared the revised design with the team for their input. By incorporating the feedback, the final design not only met the brand requirements but also ensured a better user experience for all users, including those with color vision deficiencies.
