Tell us about a time when you had to collaborate with suppliers to develop NVH solutions for components and systems. What was the outcome?

In my previous role as an Automotive NVH Engineer, I had to collaborate with suppliers to develop NVH solutions for components and systems. One specific instance was when we were working on the development of a new vehicle model. We identified an issue with excessive road noise in the cabin, which was affecting the overall customer experience. I reached out to our suppliers who specialized in acoustic materials and worked closely with them to find a solution. We conducted several meetings and shared data to analyze the problem and propose potential solutions. After multiple iterations and testing, we were able to recommend the use of a new sound-deadening material for certain areas of the vehicle. The outcome was a significant reduction in road noise, improving the overall NVH performance of the vehicle.
