The Industrial Chemicals Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the management and safe handling of chemicals within an industrial setting. The role ensures compliance with safety regulations, manages inventory, streamlines the supply chain for chemical products, and collaborates with other departments for the efficient operation of industrial processes involving chemicals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in an industrial chemicals management or related field.
In-depth knowledge of chemical properties, hazards, storage requirements, and disposal methods.
Strong understanding of environmental regulations and OSHA standards related to hazardous materials management.
Professional certification in hazardous materials management or a related area is preferred.
Experience with inventory management systems and chemical tracking software.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement chemical management policies and procedures.
Oversee the procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of chemicals in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor the usage rates of chemicals to forecast future needs.
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and safety teams to ensure the smooth integration of chemicals into manufacturing processes.
Train staff on proper chemical handling procedures and emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments within chemical storage and handling areas.
Interface with suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure the timely delivery of chemical supplies.
Stay current with industry trends, new chemicals, technologies, and safety regulations pertaining to chemical management.
Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in chemical usage.
