Responsibilities
Inspect and test welds and equipment for conformance to specifications.
Interpret blueprints, plans, and welding process specifications.
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments.
Apply knowledge of metallurgy to determine best welding practices.
Provide mentorship and training to junior welding technicians.
Monitor and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Develop and document welding procedures and protocols.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and recommend enhancements to welding processes.
Ensure compliance with all safety codes and regulations.
