Summary of the Role
A Junior Network Architect is responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), intranets, and other data communication systems. This position requires a strong understanding of network infrastructure and the ability to work under the guidance of senior network architects to develop network solutions that meet business requirements.
Required Skills
Knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Familiarity with common networking hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).
Understanding of network infrastructure services (e.g., Active Directory, LDAP).
Ability to use network diagnostic and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Understanding of network fundamentals, architecture, and protocols.
Familiarity with network simulation and modeling tools.
Basic knowledge of network security practices and procedures.
