Describe your experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems.

I have worked with electronic data capture (EDC) systems for the past two years in my previous role as a Clinical Data Coordinator. I was responsible for managing the data collection and data cleaning processes using the EDC system. I would ensure that the data entered into the system was accurate and consistent by performing regular quality checks. Additionally, I collaborated with the IT team to develop and maintain the EDC system and databases. Overall, my experience with EDC systems has given me a deep understanding of the importance of data integrity and has honed my technical skills in working with data management software.

In my previous role as a Clinical Data Coordinator, I gained extensive experience with electronic data capture (EDC) systems. I collaborated with the IT team to design and implement complex data edit checks, helping to identify and resolve data entry errors in real-time. To improve data quality, I implemented a comprehensive data cleaning plan, utilizing advanced functionalities of the EDC system to automate data validation and perform range and consistency checks. These initiatives significantly reduced data discrepancies and expedited the data cleaning process. Moreover, I contributed to the development of user-friendly training materials and conducted training sessions for study site personnel on the EDC system and best practices for data entry and query resolution. Overall, my extensive experience with various EDC systems has equipped me with a strong foundation in data management and a deep understanding of the intricacies of clinical trial data.
