Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying, with a proven track record of managing survey projects.
Proficient in the use of surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center), GPS, and other surveying equipment.
Responsibilities
Supervise and conduct field surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
Plan and design survey projects in collaboration with other professionals such as engineers, architects, and construction managers.
Analyze and evaluate survey data, using specialized software and equipment.
Prepare and maintain survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe and certify the work performed.
Stay current with new surveying methods and technological advancements in the field.
Coordinate and liaise with clients, government bodies, and other stakeholders for permissions and project requirements.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and legal requirements pertaining to surveying.
