Tell us about a time when you had to adapt your communication style to effectively engage with a specific community group.

In my previous role as a Community Engagement Assistant, there was a specific community group that I had to adapt my communication style to effectively engage with. This group was a senior citizens' organization that had a very active and involved membership. I understood that their needs and interests were different from other community groups, so I had to tailor my approach accordingly. To engage with them, I organized a series of town hall meetings where they could voice their concerns and ideas. I also created a monthly newsletter specifically for this group, highlighting events and activities that were of interest to them. By adapting my communication style to be more personal and inclusive, I was able to effectively engage with this community group.
