Summary of the Role
The Material Handler is responsible for the movement, storage, and documentation of materials within a warehouse or storage facility. This role ensures the efficient and safe handling of goods and materials, including the operation of various types of handling equipment. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have good physical stamina, and be capable of coordinating with other team members to manage inventory and supply chain activities effectively.

Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to transport goods.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain accurate records and logs of all materials handled.
Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
Communicate and collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure operational goals are met.
Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Report any discrepancies or damage to materials or equipment to supervisors immediately.
Participate in routine warehouse maintenance and cleaning procedures.
Assist in cycle counting and stock verification activities as required.
Coordinate with the supply chain team to manage and optimize inventory levels.
