Summary of the Role
As a Travel Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to travelers, including vaccinations, health education, and illness prevention advice. You will also be responsible for conducting pre-travel assessments and offering post-travel care when necessary. This role requires an individual who is knowledgeable about travel medicine, passionate about patient care, and has the ability to adapt to a variety of clinical settings.

Qualifications
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing

2-5 years of experience in travel health, public health, or a related field
Valid passport and ability to travel domestically and internationally if necessary
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-travel risk assessments and provide individualized travel health consultations
Administer necessary vaccinations and provide detailed immunization counseling
Offer health education on travel-related health risks and preventive measures
Prescribe and provide medications for travel-related illnesses or conditions
Manage common travel-related health issues and provide appropriate referrals

Follow best practices and protocols in travel medicine
Handle administrative tasks related to patient documentation and follow-up care
