Summary of the Role
As a Waste Collection Driver, your primary role will be to operate waste collection vehicles to collect residential, commercial, or industrial waste and recyclables. You will also be expected to navigate local routes, ensure the maintenance of equipment, and adhere to safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications
Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating waste collection vehicles or similar heavy equipment.
Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy objects.
Ability to work in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Operate waste collection vehicles with proficiency and safety.
Follow assigned routes for the collection of waste and recyclables, adjusting to changes in route as necessary.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or concerns.
Assist with loading and unloading waste and recycling materials as needed.
Ensure compliance with local traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the vehicle.
Report any incidents or accidents immediately to management.
Engage with customers and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
