I am comfortable working with government agencies and community organizations. In my previous position as an urban planning intern, I had the opportunity to collaborate with various government agencies and community organizations on a project to revitalize a downtown area. One challenging situation I had to navigate was when there was disagreement between the government agency and the community organization on the priority of certain initiatives. I facilitated a series of meetings where I listened to both sides, mediated discussions, and helped find common ground. By building relationships and fostering open communication, we were able to reach a consensus and move forward with the project.
