As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and controlling lighting equipment to create the desired atmosphere, illuminating spaces, objects, or individuals for a variety of projects including film, television, theater, and live events. Setting up and operating lighting equipment and rigs.
Collaborating with directors, designers, and other technicians to create lighting schemes.
Programming and operating lighting control boards and consoles.
Maintaining and repairing lighting equipment.
Ensuring all lighting equipment meets safety standards.
Managing inventory of lamps, gels, and other supplies.
Attending rehearsals to adjust lighting cues and effects.
Staying updated with the latest lighting technology and techniques.
