Summary of the Role
As an Emergency Medicine Physician with intermediate experience, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient medical care to patients experiencing a wide range of acute illnesses or injuries. Working in a fast-paced emergency department, you are expected to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to stabilize patients, manage their care, and make critical medical decisions quickly and effectively.

Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
Valid state medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine
Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency from an accredited program
2 to 5 years of experience working in an emergency department
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Proven ability to manage multiple critical patients simultaneously and make quick decisions
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with urgent and potentially life-threatening medical problems
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, paramedics, and ancillary staff to provide timely medical interventions
Interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory results, X-rays, CT scans, and EKGs
Implement evidence-based treatment protocols, manage patient care plans, and perform emergency medical procedures as necessary
Maintain a high level of professionalism and compassion when dealing with patients and their families
Participate in continuous medical education and training to keep up-to-date with advancements in emergency medicine
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain accurate patient records
