Qualifications
MD or DO degree with board certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology.
Minimum of 5 years of post-fellowship experience in a clinical genetics laboratory.
Proven track record of scholarly activity in genetics, including published research in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience in laboratory test development, validation, and quality control.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary health teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
Diagnose genetic diseases by interpreting laboratory results from molecular and cytogenetic tests.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, scientists, and counselors to provide comprehensive patient care.
Develop and validate new molecular diagnostic tests to improve patient outcomes.
Contribute to research projects aimed at understanding the genetic basis of diseases and development of novel therapeutic strategies.
Provide education and consultative services to clinical colleagues, trainees, and external agencies.
