Summary of the Role
As a Senior Ornithologist, you will be responsible for conducting advanced research and fieldwork related to bird species. Your expertise will contribute to our understanding of avian biology, behavior, conservation, and ecology. You will be expected to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with various stakeholders to promote bird conservation efforts.
Required Skills
Strong analytical and research skills, with expertise in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, SAS).

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing technology.

Qualifications
Ph.D. in ornithology, wildlife biology, ecology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in ornithological research or conservation.
Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in ornithology or related disciplines.
Experience with avian field research techniques and data analysis.
Knowledge of current conservation issues and legislation affecting bird populations.
Ability to lead and manage research projects, including budgeting and timeline management.
Responsibilities
Design and conduct complex research projects involving fieldwork, data analysis, and interpretation.
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences.
Develop and implement conservation plans and habitat management strategies for bird populations.
Supervise and mentor junior ornithologists and other research team members.
