Summary of the Role
As a Senior Recovery Room Nurse, you'll provide critical care to patients as they wake from anesthesia post-surgery. Your extensive experience enables you to manage complex cases, deliver compassionate care, and mentor junior staff. In this role, you'll ensure the safety and comfort of patients during their critical post-operative period.

Qualifications
Valid RN license and BLS/ACLS certification.

Excellent understanding of post-anesthetic care procedures and protocols.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to function well under pressure.
Responsibilities
Monitor patient vital signs and levels of consciousness after they undergo anesthesia.
Respond promptly to any signs of distress or complications.
Administer medications as prescribed by the anesthesiologist.
Assist patients in recovering from the effects of anesthesia, such as nausea or disorientation.
Coordinate with surgical teams to provide seamless care.
Document all care provided in patient records.
Educate the patients and their families on postoperative care and pain management.
Supervise junior nursing staff and provide training and guidance as needed.
