Summary of the Role
The Nurse Informatics Specialist role involves the integration of nursing science with multiple information management and analytical sciences to identify, define, manage, and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. Individuals in this role will optimize the management and communication of nursing and health information to improve the health of populations, communities, families, and individuals.

Experience with EHRs, healthcare databases, and clinical software applications.
Responsibilities
