You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders, as well as promoting preventive care and education.

Qualifications
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree with a specialization in gastroenterology.
Certification as a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner (CGNP) is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong background in gastroenterology.
Advanced knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases and treatments.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to patients with gastroenterological conditions including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, and lab work.
Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle changes to manage symptoms and improve patient health.
Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Participate in research studies and contribute to advancements in gastroenterology nursing practices.
Stay updated with the latest clinical guidelines and advancements in gastroenterology.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior nurses and healthcare staff within the gastroenterology department.
