Summary of the Role
An Ambulatory Care Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient or ambulatory care setting. This role involves working independently and as part of a healthcare team to diagnose and manage a wide range of health conditions, with a strong focus on preventative care, patient education, and follow-up treatment. Candidates should have extensive clinical experience, skills in patient assessment, and the ability to develop and implement effective care plans.

Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and management.
Eligible for DEA registration and prescriptive authority in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive and continuous primary care to patients in an outpatient setting, emphasizing preventative care and risk reduction.
Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to manage acute and chronic health conditions.
Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications or treatments as needed.
Implement patient-centered care plans, including health education and counseling for patients and families.
Coordinate patient care with specialists and other healthcare providers.
Utilize evidence-based practice guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care.
Offer follow-up care, including managing patients with complex, long-standing health problems.
Provide leadership and participate in quality improvement initiatives within the care setting.
