Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certified or board eligible in Nephrology.
Valid state medical license.
Completion of a residency program and a fellowship in nephrology.
Strong clinical skills in nephrology and internal medicine.
BLS (Basic Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification may be required.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases and complications.
Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as kidney biopsies, urinalysis, and blood tests.
Provide treatment plans for hypertension and electrolyte disturbances.
Supervise dialysis treatments and monitor patient responses.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide multidisciplinary care for patients.
Educate patients and their families about kidney health and disease management.
Participate in clinical research and trials related to nephrology.
Stay updated with advancements in nephrology and related medical fields.
