Responsibilities
Design and execute complex research projects involving molecular biology techniques
Supervise and mentor junior scientists and research staff
Develop and optimize protocols for molecular cloning, PCR, sequencing, and other molecular biology procedures
Analyze experimental data and prepare reports and scientific manuscripts for publication
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in the field of molecular biology and incorporate new techniques into research practices
Collaborate with other departments and institutions to advance research objectives
Source and manage funding for research projects
