Summary of the Role
As a Senior Sheep Farm Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our sheep farm, ensuring optimal livestock health, wool production, and farm efficiency. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of farming practices that maximize output while maintaining sustainable and ethical standards. Your role combines hands-on work with administrative responsibilities, including staff management, financial planning, and compliance with agricultural regulations.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement farm management plans, including feeding, breeding, and healthcare schedules.
Oversee shearers and other farm staff to ensure high-quality wool production.
Maintain farm infrastructure, including fencing, water systems, and shelter areas for livestock.
Monitor animal health regularly and coordinate with veterinarians for preventive care and treatment.
Manage farm finances, including budgeting, purchasing, and sales of livestock and wool.
Implement sustainability practices and adhere to animal welfare standards.
Prepare reports on farm status, production levels, and operational challenges.
Conduct staff training and performance evaluations, and recruit new employees as needed.
Ensure compliance with government regulations pertaining to livestock farming.
Evaluate and introduce new technologies and techniques for improved farm productivity.
