Summary of the Role
As a Senior Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing advanced primary and specialty nursing services to patients with pulmonary disorders. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to manage complex patient care and promote wellness through the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory conditions.

Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Pulmonology or Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.
Current APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) license with specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a pulmonary, critical care, or respiratory setting.
Eligibility for or possession of prescriptive authority in the applicable state.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnose respiratory conditions in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Manage and treat patients with chronic pulmonary diseases such as COPD, asthma, and pulmonary fibrosis.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as chest x-rays, pulmonary function tests, and blood gases.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and non-pharmacologic treatments tailored to the individual needs of patients.
Educate patients and their families on disease prevention and management, including smoking cessation, environmental control, and medication adherence.
Participate in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care and coordinate services.
Stay abreast of current evidence-based practices and emerging treatments in pulmonology.
Lead and mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to their professional development.
