Summary of the Role
As a Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating the psychiatric aspects of patients' medical conditions. Working at the intersection of physical and mental health, you will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care in medical settings such as hospitals and clinics.

Qualifications
Medical Degree (MD or DO) with a specialization in Psychiatry.
Valid state medical license.
Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
Demonstrated experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or a related field.
Completion of a fellowship in Psychosomatic Medicine or Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is preferred.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage psychiatric symptoms in patients with medical-surgical conditions.
Collaborate with medical teams to integrate psychiatric care with overall patient treatment plans.
Provide consultation to other physicians on the psychological aspects of patient care.
Assist in the identification, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and progress.
Educate patients and their families on mental health issues and treatments.
Conduct research to improve psychiatric care for patients with complex medical conditions.
