An integral member of the construction team, the Construction Surveyor is responsible for providing precise information on property boundaries, including the location of buildings, roads, and utilities. The role involves contributing to planning and design processes, conducting field surveys, processing data, and ensuring compliance with legal and building regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in surveying principles, practical experience with field equipment and software, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

2-5 years of practical surveying experience.
Certification or licensure as a surveyor, if required by the state or region.
Proficiency in the use of surveying equipment such as GPS, EDM (Electronic Distance Measurement), and total stations.
Familiarity with CAD and data processing software.
Knowledge of construction processes, legal land descriptions, and zoning laws.
Responsibilities
Conducting field surveys to determine detailed property boundaries.
Collecting and processing survey data using specialized software.
Collaborating with construction managers and architects to contribute to planning and design efforts.
Ensuring that all work is carried out to specific standards, regulations, and best practice guidelines.
Advising on any surveying issues that may arise during construction.
Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys.
Verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Communicating regularly with clients and stakeholders regarding surveying requirements and project progress.
