Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of robotic hardware or related fields.
Strong background in physical system modeling, control systems, sensor integration, and actuation.
Experience in design and manufacturing processes for robotic components, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD for mechanical design.
Familiarity with PCB design and embedded system development.
Knowledge of industry standards and certifications relevant to robotics and hardware development.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of new robotic systems and components, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
Manage the entire lifecycle of hardware development, from concept through design, prototype, testing, and into production.
Collaborate with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate and optimize robotic systems.
Conduct rigorous testing and validation of hardware systems to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in robotics to explore and implement in new projects.
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers within the team.
Interface with clients or stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver customized solutions.
Optimize existing hardware architectures for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
