This role involves close collaboration with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to offer comprehensive cardiovascular care, including health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education.

Qualifications
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent degree.
Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in the state of practice.
Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Completion of a specialized course of study in cardiology as part of nurse practitioner training or post-grad certification.
Eligibility to prescribe medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state regulations.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
Interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed.
Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle modifications to treat cardiovascular conditions.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiovascular health and disease management.
Collaborate with interprofessional healthcare teams to facilitate continuity of patient care.
Monitor and ensure the quality of healthcare practices in relation to existing standards of care.
Record and report symptoms or changes in patient status and facilitate patient flow to reduce wait times.
