Summary of the Role
A Wildlife Outreach Officer is responsible for engaging with communities, organizations, and the public to promote wildlife conservation awareness, education initiatives, and participation in preservation activities. They are key players in fostering a connection between the public and wildlife management practices, and they carry out various activities aimed at inspiring conservation efforts and ethical wildlife interaction.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in using social media platforms and digital communication tools for outreach purposes.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement outreach and education programs to increase public awareness of wildlife conservation issues.
Establish and maintain partnerships with local communities, schools, NGOs, and government agencies to promote environmental stewardship.
Organize and lead seminars, workshops, and other educational events on wildlife conservation topics.
Create and distribute educational materials, including brochures, videos, and social media content, to spread the message of wildlife protection.
Represent the organization at conferences, public meetings, and media events to articulate conservation goals and efforts.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs and adjust strategies as necessary.
Train volunteers and junior staff in outreach techniques and conservation education.
Facilitate citizen science projects and encourage community participation in wildlife research and monitoring initiatives.
