Summary of the Role
As an Intermediate Neurology Nurse Practitioner, you will work closely with neurologists to provide advanced nursing care for patients with neurological disorders such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson's disease. This role requires a strong foundation in neurology nursing practices and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a healthcare team to manage complex patient cases.

Qualifications
Current registered nurse license in the state of practice.
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in neurology or a related field.
Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and eligibility for state licensure.
2-5 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on neurology.
Proof of completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Eligibility to prescribe medication, as per state regulations.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify neurological issues.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as EEGs, lumbar punctures, and nerve conduction studies.
Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and diagnosis.
Manage medication regimes, including dosing adjustments based on patient responses.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding neurological conditions and treatment plans.
Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
Stay current with advancements in neurology and incorporate new findings into patient care.
Participate in research activities related to neurology nursing practice.
