As a Veterinary Pathologist, you will be responsible for examining animal tissue and body fluids to diagnose diseases. Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
Board certification in veterinary pathology (ACVP, ECVP or equivalent)
2-5 years of experience in veterinary pathology
Proven experience with laboratory testing and diagnostic equipment
Valid license to practice veterinary medicine
Responsibilities
Conduct post-mortem examinations to determine cause of death
Perform histopathological, microbiological, and chemical analyses of animal tissues and fluids
Collaborate with veterinarians to develop treatment plans based on diagnostic findings
Support public health by identifying disease outbreaks in animal populations
Engage in research projects to advance knowledge in animal diseases, treatment, and prevention
Provide expertise in legal cases involving animal diseases or welfare
Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of findings and procedures
Educate veterinary students and train laboratory technicians
