Summary of the Role
As a Senior Family Support Advocate, you will serve as a liaison between families in need and the various social services organizations that can provide assistance. Your deep understanding of the complex issues facing families today, your extensive network within the community, and your track record of compassionate advocacy will ensure that individuals and families receive the support they need to thrive. This role requires a dedicated professional with a passion for serving others and the capabilities to manage a range of responsibilities including case management, service coordination, and community outreach.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in family support, case management, or a related field.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal assistance programs and eligibility requirements.
Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits and community outreach activities.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive case management services to families, including needs assessment, service planning, and progress monitoring.
Serve as a primary point of contact for families in distress, offering crisis intervention and support.
Advocate on behalf of families to secure necessary services and resources from community organizations, government agencies, and other service providers.
Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with local schools, healthcare facilities, and social service agencies to enhance service delivery.
Facilitate group workshops and educational programs for families on topics such as parenting skills, financial literacy, and health and wellness.
Conduct home visits to assess living situations and develop improvement plans in collaboration with families.
Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports on client interactions and outcomes.
Mentor junior staff and volunteers, providing guidance and support to strengthen their advocacy skills.
