Summary of the Role
As a Compensation Consultant, you will be responsible for advising organizations on compensation strategies, conducting salary surveys, analyzing compensation data, and ensuring fair and competitive employee pay. You will work closely with HR teams to develop, implement, and evaluate compensation programs that align with the company's goals and comply with legal requirements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in compensation analysis, consulting, or a related field.
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is an asset.
Thorough knowledge of government regulations as they apply to compensation base and incentive compensation programs, company policies, and operations.
Responsibilities
Conduct salary and labor market research to establish pay practices that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plans.
Advise management on compensation actions for employees.
Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.
Assist in the design and analysis of compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management systems.
Ensure that compensation practices are in compliance with current legislation (pay equity, human rights, etc).
Provide advice on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs.
Manage salary survey participation and analysis, and perform market benchmark studies.
Work with HR to ensure alignment between compensation and other HR programs.
