Qualifications

Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and manage diseases and injuries in aquatic species
Perform surgical procedures on fish and other marine animals when necessary
Advise on the design and maintenance of aquatic habitats to ensure optimal health conditions
Conduct and contribute to research related to aquatic animal health and aquatic ecosystems
Develop preventative medicine programs and biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of diseases
Provide training to aquarium staff on the proper care and handling of aquatic species
