Certification in fare inspection or a related area is preferred.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends, in various weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Perform regular checks to validate tickets and passes on public transportation systems.
Supervise a team of junior ticket inspectors, providing training and guidance.
Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues regarding ticketing and travel regulations.
Work closely with the revenue team to identify and reduce instances of fare evasion.
Prepare and submit detailed reports on inspections, incidents, and other relevant activities.
Coordinate with security personnel to manage any conflicts or emergencies that arise during inspections.
Ensure that all team members are up-to-date with the latest policies, procedures, and technologies related to fare inspection.
Engage with passengers to promote a positive travel experience and the proper use of tickets.
Lead initiatives to improve ticket inspection processes and tools for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
