Summary of the Role
The Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner (OHNP) will work collaboratively with the occupational health team to provide high-quality healthcare services focused on prevention, wellness, and the management of occupational injuries and illnesses. The OHNP will engage in activities including health education, health counseling, and the administration of vaccinations and other preventive measures. This role requires an individual with a passion for health and safety in the workplace, and one who is eager to contribute to a culture of health within the organization.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) with authorization to practice as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the working state.
Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or similar is preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to obtain an active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration.
Experience in an occupational health, public health, or emergency nursing setting is a plus.
Responsibilities
Conduct pre-employment health assessments and periodic health screenings.
Provide treatment and case management for occupational injuries and illnesses.
Administer vaccinations and implement infection control programs.
Contribute to workplace health promotion and wellness initiatives.
Collaborate with occupational health and safety teams to monitor workplace environments.
Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with regulations.
Assist in identifying workplace hazards and developing prevention strategies.
Provide health education to employees on topics such as ergonomics, stress management, and nutrition.
