Summary of the Role
As a Tax Planning Manager, you will lead and manage multiple tax planning projects and contributions that support the overall strategic objectives of the organization. Your expertise in tax laws, financial planning, and strategic tax planning will be key in minimizing tax liabilities and ensuring compliance with pertinent tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax planning, with a proven track record of managing tax projects.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Experience with tax software and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with international taxation is a plus.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic tax plans to minimize tax liabilities and maximize compliance.
Provide expert advice on tax matters to senior management and other departments within the organization.
Research and analyze tax laws and regulations to determine their impact on the company.
Identify and mitigate tax risks by staying abreast of changing tax laws and provisions.
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to integrate tax planning strategies with overall financial planning.
Handle tax audits and represent the company in negotiations with tax authorities.
Manage the preparation and review of tax returns and ensure timely filing.
Advise on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate restructuring activities.
Conduct training sessions for staff on tax-related issues and updates.
Prepare and present reports on tax strategies and outcomes to executive leadership.
