The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for managing the operations of the medical staff office, including credentialing, coordinating meetings, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a high degree of organization, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative personnel.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or a medical staff office.
Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or Certified Medical Staff Coordinator (CMSC) preferred.
Proficiency in medical staff software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and accrediting body standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Responsibilities
Oversee the process of credentialing and recredentialing for all medical staff members.
Schedule, organize, and document medical staff meetings and committee meetings.
Maintain up-to-date and accurate medical staff records and databases.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, bylaws, and accrediting organization standards.
Serve as a liaison between medical staff, department heads, and administration.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the medical staff.
Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with privacy regulations.
Coordinate continuing medical education (CME) activities and track physician CME credits.
Assist with medical staff recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
