Summary of the Role
As a junior Rehabilitation Counselor, you will work under supervision to provide counseling and support services to individuals with physical, mental, developmental, or emotional disabilities. Your role aims to empower clients, helping them to achieve their personal, career, and independent living goals through a process of rehabilitation.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Completion of an internship or practicum in rehabilitation counseling.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of rehabilitation counseling.
Familiarity with disability laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Eligible to take the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) exam is a plus.
Responsibilities
Conduct initial interviews with clients to assess their needs, strengths, and limitations.
Develop individualized plans for employment and independent living.
Collaborate with clients to set realistic goals and identify the steps required to reach them.
Provide individual or group counseling to help clients cope with personal, social, or vocational challenges.
Coordinate services with other professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and social workers.
Monitor clients' progress and modify their rehabilitation plans as necessary.
Educate employers about disability and accommodation needs.
Maintain accurate records and case files in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
