Qualifications
A medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of residency in orthopedic surgery or neurosurgery.
Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery or Neurosurgery with a spine surgery fellowship.
Valid state medical license.
A minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Spine Surgeon with a track record of successful surgical outcomes.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
Eligibility to obtain hospital privileges.
Responsibilities
Perform spine surgeries, including but not limited to decompression surgeries, spinal fusion, disc replacement, and minimally invasive spine surgeries.
Evaluate and manage patients pre-operatively and post-operatively, providing holistic care and pain management strategies.
Stay current with advances in spinal surgical techniques and technology, and incorporate them as appropriate.
Collaborate with other health care professionals such as physiatrists, physical therapists, and pain management specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to advance the field of spine surgery.
Educate patients and their families on conditions, surgical procedures, and long-term management plans.
Maintain meticulous surgical and medical documentation for legal and quality assurance purposes.
