Summary of the Role
As a Senior Rheumatology Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized care to patients with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune disorders. You will work closely with rheumatologists to manage patient care, including administering medications, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on managing their conditions.

5+ years of nursing experience with a focus on rheumatology or related fields.
Experience administering biologic treatments and conducting joint examinations.
Experience with patient education and health promotion.
Responsibilities
Assess and monitor patient health status, specifically relating to rheumatic conditions.
Administer medications, including injections and infusions, and monitor responses to treatments.
Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Coordinate with rheumatologists and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
Implement patient care plans and contribute to case management.
Record patient symptoms, medical histories, and treatment responses in electronic health records (EHR).
Advocate for patients to ensure they receive the appropriate care and resources.
Stay current with the latest treatments and advancements in rheumatology nursing.
