Summary of the Role
As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content. You will work with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs, and apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods to create high-quality learning opportunities.
Required Skills
Proficiency in instructional design software such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Experience with online education and eLearning strategies.
Knowledge of the latest trends in instructional design and technology.
Ability to measure and evaluate training outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in instructional design or educational content development.
Proven knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Experience with course development software and at least one Learning Management System (LMS).
Ability to write effective instructional text, audio/video scripts, and assessments.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify the learning needs of the target audience.
Design and develop instructional material for training courses and educational programs.
Apply instructional design theories and practices to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
Develop assessments to measure learners' progress and instructional materials' effectiveness.
Collaborate with other instructional team members to ensure consistency and cohesiveness in all learning materials.
Utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools to enhance learning experiences.
Research and integrate new methods and technologies to enhance instructional design.
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
