Summary of the Role
The Sustainability Manager will oversee the implementation and management of sustainability initiatives across the company. Qualifications
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sustainability role, with a track record of successful program development and implementation.
Understanding of sustainability reporting standards such as GRI, CDP, or SASB.
Experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis.
Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders including senior management, suppliers, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs aligned with company goals and values.
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve sustainability targets, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible sourcing.
Drive the integration of sustainability considerations into product design, production, and supply chain management.
Report on sustainability performance to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and industry groups.
Manage the company's sustainability reporting and improve data collection and analysis methods.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote the company's sustainability efforts and achievements.
Stay informed on the latest trends, regulations, and technologies in the field of sustainability, and assess their applicability to the company.
Establish and maintain partnerships with NGOs, government bodies, and other organizations to advance the company's sustainability agenda.
Lead training and awareness programs to foster a culture of sustainability within the organization.
