Summary of the Role
A Trademark Attorney, also known as an Intellectual Property (IP) Lawyer, specializes in handling legal issues related to trademarks. This role involves providing legal advice on trademark applications, enforcing trademark rights, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will manage the entirety of the trademark lifecycle for various clients, ensuring that their intellectual properties are well-protected and enforced in accordance with the law.

Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state and in good standing.
2-5 years of specialized experience in trademark law.
Strong understanding of the USPTO application, examination, and opposition processes.
Experience with TTAB proceedings and a track record of successful trademark prosecutions.
Proven ability to provide practical legal counseling to a wide range of clients.
Responsibilities
Reviewing and advising on trademark searches and trademark applications to the USPTO and other jurisdictions.
Drafting and negotiating intellectual property agreements, including license agreements, coexistence agreements, and assignments.
Representing clients in oppositions, cancellations, and appeals before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Enforcing trademark rights against infringement and advising on litigation strategies.
Counseling clients on trademark portfolio management and development strategies.
Staying up-to-date with changes in trademark laws and informing clients of relevant updates.
Collaborating with foreign associates to manage international trademark registrations and disputes.
